Velocity Based Profiling

The speed of the bar tells the truth about the body. We track lifting velocity in real time so training load is autoregulated around the injured tissue — hard enough to build the system, precise enough to protect healing tissue.

What Velocity Based Profiling Gives Us

Real Load, Not Guesswork

Bar velocity on every rep tells us the true effort of each set, regardless of how the athlete feels that day. Good days and bad days are handled automatically by the data.

Injured Tissue Load Control

During rehab we cap velocity loss thresholds so sets stop before the injured tissue is pushed beyond its current capacity — the same principle we use to progressively rebuild it.

Fatigue Detection

A drop in velocity at a fixed load is often the earliest warning of accumulating fatigue or under-recovery — visible weeks before it becomes a soft-tissue injury.

Strength Profiling

Load-velocity profiling maps your force-velocity relationship in the gym: maximum strength, speed-strength and power qualities, benchmarked and re-tested over time.

How We Use VBT in Rehab

1

A quick gym battery maps your force-velocity profile across the key lifts — identifying whether strength, speed-strength or power is the limiting quality for your sport and your stage of rehab.

2

Early rehab: controlled, moderate-velocity work protecting the injured tissue. Mid rehab: intent-driven lifting to rebuild rate of force. Late rehab: high-velocity power work preparing the system for sport.

3

Live bar-speed feedback adjusts loads session by session: strong days are pushed, fatigued days are pulled back — always inside the tissue's safe capacity window.

4

Load-velocity profiling is repeated every 4-6 weeks alongside VALD and speed testing, so the whole system — and the injured tissue — is measured on the same graph.

Our Principle

Load is a dose. Velocity tells us the dose the system — and the injured tissue — actually received.
